You will be responsible for sourcing a wide range of products, negotiating prices, and ensuring timely deliveries. Overview

Are you experienced in purchasing in a shipyard environment?

Our client is a leading brand in the yacht refit sector and seek a purchaser to join them on a permanent contract, tasked with sourcing a wide range of widely produced and custom items for their refit works. With a network on 8 yards across Europe this a well established employer with strong buying power seeking someone with excellent negotiating skills to push them forwards.

Responsibilities

• Work with the estimating and project teams to build procurement lists for each project
• Go to market to source and negotiate prices on a wide range of products from low to high value
• Ensure timely delivery of items in line with project demands
• Continually work to build a trusted bank of suppliers
• Input and manage purchasing through the in-house ERP system

Qualifications

To be considered for this role you will have experience in purchasing for a shipyard and be confident to work autonomously within a small team to expertly procure a wide catalog of items. Bringing your own supplier contacts you\'ll be able to negotiate the best prices for quality items which can and will be delivered on time to keep projects moving. Whilst technical knowledge is not essential, an understanding of boats to some extent will be.

You\'ll be working closely with a great international team and have a chance to build out a procurement team in time, giving you strong career development potential.
