A leading agricultural innovation company in France is seeking a Project & Market Manager to develop low-carbon fertilizer solutions. This role involves significant collaboration with stakeholders, managing market analysis, and refining product positioning. The ideal candidate will have 5-15 years of experience in agricultural inputs or related industries, with strong project management skills. Fluency in French and proficiency in English are required. Reports to: Chief Business Officer (CBO).
The agricultural sector accounts for 10% of the EU’s total GHG emissions, with traditional nitrogen-based fertilizer production—relying on fossil fuels such as natural gas and coal—responsible for 20% of global agricultural emissions. FertigHy is on a mission to enhance the sovereignty of fertilizer manufacturing—and ultimately food security—in Europe, while decarbonizing the food value chain by producing and commercializing low‑carbon calcium ammonium nitrate (CAN27) made entirely from electrolytic hydrogen at its first large‑scale fertilizer plant, currently under development in Languevoisin, Hauts-de-France. Our fertilizers will be prescribed to farmers, cooperatives, and the agricultural processing industry by food & beverage and retail companies committed to reducing Scope 3 emissions and willing to pay a sustainability premium to achieve their voluntary SBTi targets. To support FertigHy in becoming a European leader in the electrolytic low‑carbon nitrogen‑based fertilizer market, we are looking for a Project & Market Manager.
You will report directly to the CBO. As Project & Market Manager you will be responsible for the product range construction, participate to the business development strategy and to offtake development by implementing in Low Carbon fertilizer in the value chain.
A degree in Agricultural Engineering, Agronomy, or a related field is highly desirable. A master’s degree in business administration or sustainability is also valued depending on experience.
Approx. 5-15 years of global experience.
Significant experience as a Market Manager or Project Manager in fertilizer company, agricultural inputs, distribution, processing industry or food & beverage industry.
Strong understanding of sustainability and regulatory within these industries, particularly Scope 3 emissions and regenerative agriculture.
Flexible and agile, with a solution-oriented mindset and the ability to thrive in a fast‑growing company driven by ambitious goals and a “can‑do” mentality.
Excellent, collaboration, communication skills particularly in a remote context with the rest of the team.
Ability to handle frustration and capacity to make constructive proposals.
Strong problem‑solving abilities and a data‑driven approach to decision making.
Fluency in French and proficiency in English are required. Other languages are a plus.
