Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Project Manager specializing in food retail shopfitting to oversee the planning, execution and delivery of retail projects within the food industry. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of shopfitting projects ensuring that they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.
Responsibilities
- Project Planning and Management: Develop detailed project plans, timelines and budgets for food retail shopfitting projects; coordinate with clients, vendors and subcontractors to align objectives; conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies.
- Site Management: Oversee on-site operations, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, building codes and quality standards; schedule and manage construction activities; address and resolve issues during the project lifecycle.
- Client Liaison: Maintain regular communication with clients to provide updates and address concerns; gather feedback and incorporate it into project development and execution.
- Financial Management: Monitor project budgets and ensure expenditures remain within limits; prepare financial reports and forecasts for stakeholders.
- Team Leadership: Lead a team of design, construction and installation professionals; provide direction and support; foster a collaborative environment encouraging ideas and solutions.
- Quality Control: Conduct inspections and quality assurance checks; ensure work meets specified quality standards and client requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Construction Management, Design or a related field.
- Proven experience (3 years) in project management within the food retail or shopfitting industry.
- Strong understanding of construction processes, materials and shopfitting techniques specific to the food retail sector.
- Proficient in project management software and tools (e.g. Microsoft Project, Asana or similar).
- Excellent leadership, communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
- Knowledge of relevant health and safety regulations and compliance standards.
- Languages: French and English
