Project Manager
Grenoble, France – onsite working required

Due to continued growth and several large-scale, multi-year programmes, we are now looking for a Project Manager to strengthen our Project Management team in Grenoble, France. This is a highly product-focused role, managing strategic R&D and customer-funded projects across the full lifecycle. You will lead cross-functional teams, deliver products to customers, achieve revenue targets, and contribute to bid activity and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage cross-functional teams of 10+ engineers and technical staff to deliver projects on time, to cost and to quality
  • Ensure effective project management techniques are consistently applied and governance processes are followed
  • Take ownership of existing projects and drive them through to successful delivery
  • Build strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders
  • Create and maintain detailed project schedules using Microsoft Project and publish into MS Project Server
  • Define, agree and chair Phase Gate Reviews in line with programme requirements
  • Control scope, managing change and avoiding unwanted scope creep
  • Identify and manage project risks, issues and dependencies proactively
  • Interface with Finance to establish and monitor budgets, including ETCs and risk cost exposure
  • Prepare project dashboards and present monthly status updates to senior leadership
  • Support business development, engineering and programme leadership in developing technical and commercial solutions
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of project management processes
Skills & Experience
  • Experience managing projects through all or part of the lifecycle, from bid to production, with an emphasis on production
  • Demonstrable experience energising teams to meet critical timescales
  • Strong ability to manage customer expectations and control scope
  • A solid understanding of risk management
  • Clear, persuasive communication skills at all levels
  • Strong problem-solving capability and sound judgement
  • Proficiency with project management tools such as MS Project and MS Project Server (or equivalent enterprise tools)
  • A working knowledge of SAP (desirable)
  • A recognised project management qualification or methodology (desirable)
