We are currently looking for a Project Management Officer EMEIA.
Purpose of the role and Key Responsibilities
What you will do as a Project Management Officer EMEIA:
Strategic and Portfolio Management
- Support Divisional IT teams in aligning projects with business strategy, evaluating proposals, and ensuring consistent prioritization and resource coordination across EMEIA.
- Oversee the full project portfolio to ensure it matches business goals, supports planning and prioritization, and helps balance project demand with available resources.
- Help manage resources efficiently by identifying availability, resolving conflicts, and providing visibility into workloads to support Domain Managers.
- Monitor project performance through key indicators and deliver clear reporting and dashboards to support informed decision-making.
Project Governance, Methodology & Support
- Foster collaboration between project management resources across EMEIA to build and sign off on a set of project management standards. Enforce these standards (Agility, GW Process, etc.).
- Develop templates, guidelines, and processes for consistent project execution. Ensure projects follow approved methodologies. Manage PPM Board & act as PPM Product Owner. Manage Agile Board (TBC).
- Adapt the current GW Methodology to IT. Manage PPB. Adapt Agility to the EMEIA IT Organization and vice versa. Review AX PM / Releases / CR Process according to Agility. Get BPOS involved in Agility.
- Drive continuous improvement by sharing lessons learned, reviewing processes regularly, and promoting a culture of learning and optimization.
- Provide coaching, training, and guidance to project managers, build a project management community, and support issue resolution when needed.
- Support effective risk and issue management by identifying challenges early, defining mitigation plans, and encouraging a proactive risk culture.
Communication, Change & Knowledge Management
- Ensure clear communication around IT projects and changes, support change management, and tailor messages to different audiences and regions.
- Maintain up-to-date documentation and knowledge bases, and help deliver training and learning materials in accessible formats.
- Coordinate internal IT communication across EMEIA, simplify technical messages for broader audiences, and ensure inclusive, two-way communication between regional and central IT teams.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Degree educated, ideally to Masters level, in a relevant discipline.
- Extensive previous experience in IT, with line management responsibility.
- Proven experience in managing projects for a global, complex organization, with a track record of planning, executing, controlling, and closing projects; ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with minimal supervision.
- Excellent knowledge in Process Design and Reengineering.
- Strong technical capabilities: Business and IT project management (using Agile or PRINCE2 methodology or equivalent) with sizeable project teams, Risk Management, Change Management.
- Knowledge of benefits and dependency mapping, risk management, and resource planning.
- Experience in program and project-level financial management.
- Adept at training and coaching Project Managers and PMO staff.
In addition, you will have a natural aptitude for building strong relationships with stakeholders and possess excellent communication skills, including the ability to present and influence at all levels and mediate/ negotiate agreeable solutions. You should be proactive, professional, and committed to exceptional customer care and service.
Fluency in spoken and written English is essential; additional languages are highly advantageous.
