A leading manufacturing company in France is seeking a Production Supervisor to manage daily operations and lead a production team. You will ensure efficiency, control work orders, and maintain quality standards. Candidates should have at least two years of supervisory experience, strong communication skills, and a willingness to adapt to changing environments. This position offers 25 holiday days excluding public holidays, and a salary depending on experience.

Qualifications

  • Two or more years previous experience in a Supervisory role.
  • Experience with ISO9001:2015 is a plus.
  • Some understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles would be an advantage.

Responsabilités

Overview

Nano Purification Solutions Ltd employs around sixty employees here in the UK and US and from its manufacturing bases serves hundreds of customers based all over the world. We have a strong brand name in the design and manufacture of quality solutions for the treatment of compressed air and gas as well as products in the nitrogen generation sector. Working within a small manufacturing team you will have responsibility for the daily management and supporting of the manufacturing operations required to meet customer demands of our manufactured products. The person will need to manage the manufacturing team to meet targets which will include OTDP, NRFT and overall efficiency targets. They will also need to drive and motivate effectively and have effective communication skills to not only gain respect from their team but also to the rest of the business. The role will be key to driving and developing people and manufacturing efficiency.

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for the day-to-day management of the production team – work allocation, cell workload and the allocation of labour
  • The control and issue of works orders, material quality documents and adherence to the work cells and standard operating practices
  • Be the main link for Production with Goods In, Dispatch and Customer Service Department
  • Management and resolution of general issues which affect the manufacturing areas
  • Maintaining and making improvements regarding quality and efficiency of build, responsible for capturing the data needed to do this
  • Manage Standard cost model (PK data) for manufacturing and ensure it is continually maintained
  • Root cause analysis of problems within the manufacturing processes
  • Support on KPI’s relating to manufacturing targets and improvements
  • Develop training requirements that create a multi-skilled workforce
  • Drive and manage 5S within the production cells
  • Work with the Quality Department to support their drive to deliver NRFT improvements, scrap analysis and supplier metrics
  • Maintain and improve safety within the production cells – at the individual level and from a factory perspective. Promote awareness of safety and ensure standards are maintained and adhered to.
  • People Management – feedback, appraisals, training, holidays and sickness
  • Support where needed to drive in other relevant accreditations such as HSE and environmental (ISO 45001 & 14001)
Required Skills
  • Two or more years previous experience in a Supervisory role and evidence of managing a team of people
  • Some experience of ISO9001:2015 and how it fits in managing a manufacturing team
  • Critical thinking skills with attention to detail and examples of this
  • Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple tasks, with limited supervision. However training and continued support will be given where necessary
  • Some understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles would be an advantage
  • Flexibility to accommodate an ever-changing working environment and demands placed upon it
  • Team player with effective communication skills
  • Computer Literate (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
Reporting structure

Day to day reporting to the Operations Director with involvement in regular meetings as a group where you will report on workload and progress

Starting Salary

– depending on experience (reviewed after 6-month probationary period)

Working Hours

– 39 hours per week in Team Valley, Gateshead, Tyne & Wear

Holidays

– 25 days excluding public holidays
