A European space tech company is seeking a Power Storage and Distribution Engineer to design onboard Electrical Power Systems for their next-generation launcher. The ideal candidate will have a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field and at least 3 years of experience in EPS development, preferably in aerospace environments. Responsibilities include designing energy storage systems and collaborating on power distribution schemes in a dynamic Agile setting. Fluency in both French and English is required.
🚀 MaiaSpace is a European space tech company, designing, manufacturing and operating competitive and sustainable solutions for space mobility. We are driven by the belief that access to space is a major enabler for a better and more sustainable life on Earth, addressing the challenges faced by humanity: climate, resources, connectivity, and data. Our aim is to successfully design and test a cost-effective and reusable mini-launch vehicle by 2026. 🚀
As part of the multidisciplinary engineering team, you will contribute to the design, development, integration, and verification of the onboard Electrical Power System (EPS) powering MaiaSpace’s next‑generation launcher. Your role covers the full electrical power chain: storage, conversion, and distribution, ensuring performance, reliability, and safety across all mission phases.
You will also collaborate on associated ground power infrastructures including charging architecture, test bench power handling, and integration facility energy management. You will join an Agile environment looking for innovation, technical ownership, and rigorous problem‑solving from early design to launch operations.
You will be joining a friendly multi‑disciplinary team, comprised of multi‑skilled people, following Agile and Scrum methodologies. This means that your role and responsibility may evolve over time with varied assignments and challenges depending on priorities and competences. Your work will be hands‑on and in close contact with the final product. We are open‑minded, transparent, pragmatic, result‑oriented and people‑centric. Teamwork is at the heart of how we work together, and our co‑workers share the same fundamental values: respect, humility, reactivity and autonomy with a passion for technical excellence. Our offices are located in La Défense, Paris, with easy access to public transport. Written and spoken communication are in French and English.
