A leading research university in France seeks a postdoctoral researcher in medicinal chemistry for a 12-month project. Presentation of the project:
In collaboration with Starlight and Wepredic, we are looking for a postdoctoral researcher for a period of 12 months to participate in medicinal chemistry work, specifically designing and optimizing the structure of fluorescent probes or protacs dedicated to a given biological target, a topic related to the field of chemical biology.
Presentation of the Service / laboratory:
This work will be carried out at the Institute of Organic and Analytical Chemistry at the University of Orleans (UMR7311).
The ICOA is a laboratory whose activities focus on the design, analysis, and modeling of molecules for therapeutic purposes. Our group's synthesis missions focus on exploring chemical space, creating bioactive compounds for medicinal chemistry, medical imaging probes, and tools for chemical biology.
The work will be supervised by the team leaders specializing in heterocyclic and therapeutic synthesis referred to in the announcement.

Presentation of the missions:
The work proposed to the successful candidate will be based on developing synthesis methodologies and then modulating these methods to achieve the expected probes. The person will carry out the synthesis, characterization, and qualification of the products, whose biological activities will be measured by our partners.
Présentation of the profile:
Candidates with a PhD in organic synthesis or medicinal chemistry will have strong skills in organic and/or therapeutic chemistry.
Knowledge of chemical biology would be an advantage. Successful postdoctoral experience abroad will be particularly appreciated.
Skills in heterocyclic organic chemistry, chemical biology, and/or medicinal chemistry, successful past experience, work related to the project, ability to manage research projects
Specific Requirements
Candidates with a PhD in organic synthesis or medicinal chemistry will have strong skills in organic and/or therapeutic chemistry.
