Syquant Capital is looking to hire a Portfolio Manager with 3 to 5 years experience in Merger Arbitrage to join a team of 16 experienced Portfolio Managers.

Founded in 2005, Syquant Capital is an independent asset manager based in Paris specializing in absolute return strategies.

With over EUR 4 billion assets under management, Syquant manages 6 funds which are mostly focused on Event‑Driven strategies on Equity and Credit markets.

Job description

Within the Merger Arbitrage investment team, the new hire will have an active role in the following :

• Researching new investment and M&A arbitrage opportunities
• Analysing and presenting M&A arbitrage cases
• Execution and trading
• Liaising internally with the risk management, middle‑office and marketing teams
• Interacting with brokerage firms and banks (sales and trading, research, capital markets) and with companies (investors relations and management team)

Job Requirement

• 3 to 5 years experience in Merger Arbitrage
• A graduate degree from a top‑tier University, Business School or Engineering School
• Fully fluent in English and ideally French speaker
