Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Payroll Coordinator to join our team in France, supporting payroll operations across the EMEA region. This on-site role is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing in compliance with local labor laws, tax regulations, and company policies.
The Payroll Coordinator will manage payroll data, resolve discrepancies, support audits, and act as a key point of contact for payroll-related questions. This role requires a high level of discretion, precision, and excellent organizational skills. Fluency in French is mandatory, and proficiency in English is required to collaborate across the EMEA region.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure accurate and timely payroll processing for multiple EMEA countries, in coordination with local HR and finance teams.
- Manage the transfer of time and attendance data into payroll batches; perform adjustments and manual entries as needed.
- Review and validate payroll batches prior to submission to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Maintain and update payroll records, including employee information, compensation, tax details, and benefits.
- Ensure payroll compliance with all applicable labor laws, social security regulations, and tax obligations in France and other EMEA countries.
- Prepare payroll-related reports and metrics for internal and external stakeholders.
- Support audits and inspections by compiling necessary documentation and responding to auditor queries.
- Collaborate with HR to ensure correct data entry and alignment between payroll and HR systems.
- Provide first-line support for employees and managers regarding payroll inquiries, discrepancies, and time-off issues.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of payroll processes and systems, including implementation of new tools or modules.
- Work closely with the finance team to prepare journal entries and support payroll reconciliation in the ERP system.
Required Skills For Success
Education & Experience
- University degree in finance, business administration, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in payroll, ideally in an international or multi-country environment.
- Experience working closely with HR teams.
- Solid knowledge of French payroll legislation and best practices.
- Mandatory: Fluency in French (spoken and written).
- Proficiency in English required for EMEA-level collaboration.
- Experience with ADP Workforce Now (Time & Attendance, Benefits, Reporting) or similar payroll platforms.

- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, in French and English
- Strong attention to detail and confidentiality.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
