Senior Engineer – Infrastructure Network Systems & Data Centre

Location: India

Job Type: Contract

Are you an experienced Infrastructure Network Systems & Data Center Engineer looking for a challenging role in a dynamic environment? We’re seeking a Senior Engineer to define, plan, and execute infrastructure build and migration tasks across on-premises data centers and virtualized environments. This is a critical role supporting data center refresh, consolidation, system migrations, disaster recovery, and server lifecycle upgrades.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Infrastructure Projects – Lead data center refresh and migration activities for physical and virtual environments.
2. Server Management – Provision and configure Windows/Linux servers on VMware, manage RAID configurations, and execute rehosting/replatforming.
3. Disaster Recovery – Build and test DR plans, conduct failover/failback, and implement fixes to enhance system availability.
4. Platform Support & Configuration – Configure DNS, DHCP, NTP, IP addressing, perform patching, OS upgrades, and apply security hardening rules.
5. Systems Integration – Support backup, monitoring, and management tools including Veeam, SCCM, and VMware SRM.
6. Automation & Optimization – Develop PowerShell/Python scripts for efficiency and standardize server images.
7. Facility Coordination – Ensure appropriate power, cooling, and cabling needs are met.

Required Skills & Experience:

1. Hands-on experience with VMware vSphere and Citrix environments.
2. Strong knowledge of Windows Server & Linux systems.
3. Expertise in IP networking, subnets, VLANs.
4. Proficiency in remote management tools.
5. Experience with Veeam Backup & Replication + Orchestrator.
6. Familiarity with VMware SRM & replication strategies.
7. Scripting skills for automation (PowerShell/Python).
8. Basic knowledge of Azure VM provisioning & sizing.
