Work Location : This role is open to applicants residing in any of the following EMEA countries: Germany, France, Italy, Spain, the United Kingdom, or Serbia.

We are seeking a Market Segment Manager Aerospace & Defence responsible for increasing demand creation, revenue, and gross profit for Avnet Silica within the assigned area of responsibility in EMEA.

This role focuses on developing a specific Vertical Market that Avnet Silica aims to expand, concentrating on the End Market Sub Application with the highest growth potential.

What You Will Be Doing :

  • Developing the Go-To-Market Plan for Aerospace & Defence.
  • Coordinating with the regional Aerospace & Defence Team to implement the plan at target customers.
  • Understanding market trends and requirements to identify fast-growing target sub-segments. Defining the target customer base (Customer Explorer) in alignment with the Aerospace & Defence segment.
  • Creating potential solutions for these sub-segments in collaboration with the Specialist and Technology Team.
  • Aligning with the Supplier Development Team on supplier focus.
  • Providing Business Cases and ROI analyses.
  • Driving activities in coordination with Sales & Technical Teams, including joint customer visits to target customers to execute strategic approaches.
  • Building or extending relationships with key decision-makers in relevant End Markets / Sub Segments, understanding the Macro Environment and Ecosystem.
  • Sharing best practices and success stories, providing technical articles or interviews.
  • Participating in fairs and seminars to monitor market developments.
  • Maintaining close contact with relevant standardization committees.
  • Identifying new and rapidly growing markets for potential investment by Avnet Silica.
  • Developing and aligning the Go-To-Market Strategy and Investment Plan.
  • Coordinating with the regional Aerospace & Defence Team and supporting daily activities.

What We Are Looking For :

  • A degree in Engineering (M.Sc., B.Sc., or equivalent).
  • At least 7 years of experience, preferably in a sales and development-driven environment within the electronics and semiconductors industry.
  • More than 4 years of experience in a technical support (FAE) or R&D role, preferably related to software and hardware.
  • In-depth knowledge of semiconductors, hardware, and software engineering.
  • Strong relationship-building skills at all organizational levels.
  • Excellent facilitation, presentation, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in English (verbal and written).
  • Skilled in MS Office, Project Management tools, and SAP-based design registration modules.
  • Willingness to travel.
