Qualifications

Your Mission

As a Manufacturing Manager, you lead both Production & Maintenance in all its aspects, within the plant, by means of the handed tools. You are responsible to ensure a structured and undisturbed operation in the plant by organizing all relevant parts, applying defined rules and regulations and support their further development.

As a Manufacturing Manager, you are the local process owner of the following processes: Maintenance & Production.

Your Responsibilities

Maintenance/Production

  • Responsible for production scheduling (shift- and staff planning, based on production targets)
  • Ensures structured and smooth operation processes by alignment of production & maintenance activities including relevant departments and customer needs
  • Obtains and reports progress on the Production and Maintenance objectives to the Plant Management Team and group
  • Reports and follows up the record of production means
  • Carries out deviating actions for maintenance (repairs, programming) and production (rework, plan weekend work, …)
  • Maintains and ensures the plant process in terms of availability and reduction of downtime
  • Ensures maintenance of all equipment of the plant (machines, buildings, etc.)
  • Manages the parameters of production line/assembly line efficiency
  • Ensures the compliance to group maintenance process flows, procedures, and requirements
  • Implements and maintains a Total Productive Maintenance system
  • Follows-up and avoids obsolescence of equipment/parts in the plant

Quality

  • Cooperates with the Quality Manager to ensure follow-up and reporting of the quality objectives of the plant, group, and customer
  • Implements changes with regards to remarks of the customer
  • Organizes execution of the PPAP-process
  • Maintains and improves environmental, safety and quality standards

Staff

  • Supervises the Production and Maintenance teams (Managers, Leaders and Technicians)
  • Follows up and checks the hours performed, and monitor’s overtime
  • Drafts and edits the holiday planning of personnel
  • Executes yearly assessment interviews, employee dialogues
  • Ensures the creation, check and maintenance of the skill matrix and training of direct and indirect reports
  • Develops a continuous improvement mind-set by applying the associated methods
  • Strives for an optimal manufacturing environment where Maintenance and Production go hand in hand to reach a higher effectiveness of the process
  • Reduces waste and energy consumption in the plant, according to local law and company rules
  • Ensures regular communication in the plant during organized daily/weekly/monthly meetings
  • Creates and shares best practices to benchmark within the group

Your Profile

  • You have a Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
  • You have 3 years of experience in a managerial position, directly related to production, maintenance or lean manufacturing.
  • You have excellent communication & presentation skills.
  • Good knowledge of the applicable IATF 16949 and ISO 14001/45001 principles if applicable.
  • You have technical field knowledge (Pneumatic, Hydraulics, Mechanics, Electrics, …)
  • You have a comprehensive understanding of Tire-Wheel assembly.
  • You have knowledge of Continuous Improvement Methodology (ex. Lean, Six Sigma, …)
  • You have excellent MS-Office skills.
  • You are fluent in the local language and English.
  • You have knowledge of CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System)
  • You have experience in dealing with ERP/MES systems (SAP skills welcome)
