Cycloid focuses on platform engineering done right. We optimize the developer experience and operational efficiency by accelerating the delivery of a portal and platform, alleviating the cognitive load on IT teams and advocating for FinOps & Green IT practices. With our Internal Developer Portal and Platform, you don’t need to start from scratch to get a fully customized solution.

Platform teams design, build and run the platform enabling end-users to visualize, deploy and manage existing and new projects, interact with cutting-edge DevOps and Cloud automation without the need to become an expert, while keeping best practices in place, cloud expenses under control with a minimum carbon footprint.

Cycloid is an Internal Developer Platform and an internal developer Portal with modules around self-service portal and platform orchestration, project lifecycle and resources management, FinOps and GreenOps and plugins. It can be consumed through the console, in CLI or in API.

What is my challenge ?

As an Senior Business Development Director and lead sales DACH, you will:

  • Be the first on the ground; you build it, you develop it!
  • Be the product ambassador to our prospects
  • Participate in the definition of the company's commercial policy with the team
  • Participate in the improvement of business processes
  • Participate in the recruitment of your teammates
  • Participate in the construction of the corporate culture of Cycloid
  • Promote the image and reputation of the company
  • Communicate the value of Cycloid and help customers understand how our platform is beneficial
  • Contribute to the development of the Cycloid pipeline with a proactive hunting approach: LinkedIn, Cycloid database, newspapers, networks, etc.
  • Follow the entire sales cycle: prospecting, pipeline, negotiation, and, of course, closing.
  • Work hand in hand with Sales, Partners, Marketing, Pre-sales, Product and Technical teams to provide them with customer needs and product feedback, or fuel the product roadmap
  • Analyze market developments and competitive offers in order to constantly adapt your understanding of the market and adapt your discourse.

We are looking for talents who are driven by the needs of customers, who think that a business developer is much more than a salesman but the bridgehead, a player who is a driving force in terms of both products and services, who knows how to feel the new trends.

As you will be the first on the ground, more you will succeed more you will have the opportunity to build the team if you are interested in.

You wish to :

  • work with top key accounts in DACH especially Germany.
  • Contribute to trade acceleration: Sky is the limit, everything is to be built
  • Work on complex projects with very high potential
  • Create a relationship of trust with clients and third parties: Cloud provider, ESN, Integrators, Managed Services Providers
  • Work in an empowering approach beyond the sales functions: recruitment of employees, the collective definition of the Go to market strategy, definition of the sales/product strategy, project follow-up, etc.
  • Be part of a company with international ambitions in a market with explosive potential
  • Contribute to a new company culture
What should I bring to the table?

Motivated by a new way of working in a company that gives you freedom on the way you work and also how you approach topics, you believe in contributing to the development of the company commercially but also internally by taking part in building the company culture. You enjoy the difficulty that comes with sales and is able to deal with them accordingly. As such you can provide:

  • A conclusive experience of more5+ years in IT editors in DACH having managed average baskets around €250 000 ARR and +.
  • A true hunter mindset and a great network on CTO, CIO, lead DevOps, Lead Infra, Lead Dev
  • A desire, proven experience, and ability to work withmultinational companies & key accounts
  • A preference for working within an international team and fluency in German & English.
  • A + would be to have demonstrated the capability to grow and lead a team

The variable plan is not limited and is based on 50% fix, 50% variable with an acceleration plan.

The global package is very competitive and depending on your skills, as you will be the first on the ground, leading a sales team in your region if it is what you are looking for.
