This role involves various laboratory functions from phlebotomy to specimen testing. Ideal candidates should have completed an accredited Medical Laboratory Assistant program and possess previous phlebotomy experience and ECG certification. The position requires strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
The team atulação Hys Centre Patient Service Center (PSC) is looking to add a highly engaged, enthusiastic, and outgoing Medical Laboratory Assistant to join our team in this fast‑paced, public‑facing location. In this role you will have the opportunity to work both independently and as a member of our team еиҳа responsible for a variety of laboratory functions, including phlebotomy, ECGs, and monitoring wait times to ensure the best service to our patients. You will be the first contact that patients have with the laboratory, and this environment allows you the ability to adapt and work effectively under pressure, utilize time‑management skills, and prioritize tasks within an ever‑changing environment. Your organization and communication skills will help you collaborate and maintain positive working relationships with internal stakeholders and other health‑care professionals. This position works 0800–1615 on Monday, 0800–1330 on Tuesday and 0800–1300 Wednesday–Friday at Hys PSC, and every third Saturday from 0700–1200 at Oliver Park PSC. As a Medical Laboratory Assistant I, you will provide high‑quality service to clients of the clinical laboratory in an effective, efficient, and safe manner. You will be responsible for a variety of laboratory functions including procurement, handling, processing, dispatching, and testing of specimens, performing procedures, and reporting results.
