Position Summary

We are looking for junior paralegals to join our International Arbitration practice in our Paris office. You should have a strong desire to work on cross-border arbitrations matters, and acquire the deep knowledge and understanding of the sector that goes beyond simply understanding the law. You will thrive in our intellectually rigorous yet collegial team, working on complex and high profile arbitration cases. We offer internationally oriented and rewarding work and an opportunity to develop, deepen and broaden your knowledge and technical skills. Ambitious and passionate, you will be ready for the challenges of working in a global law firm. We are looking for English native speakers who are seeking practical experience in a law firm before going to Law or Graduate School. We offer a 12 months fixed term contract that can be extended, only once, for a maximum of 6 months.

Duties and Accountabilities

A paralegal's responsibilities include tasks such as assisting the attorneys in all phases of arbitration. These tasks include but are not limited to :

  • Organizing and maintaining large electronic and paper case files
  • Proofreading and cite-checking documents, etc.
  • Organizing documents for submission with pleadings, client meetings, filings and hearings
  • Dealing with hearing logistics
Qualifications

Required

  • Excellent spoken and written English skills. Applications from French speakers are strongly encouraged as well

Localisation and Reporting
  • This role is based in Paris, France;
  • This role reports to the Paris office\'s Manager of Arbitration Legal Assistants.
