The Photovoltaic Institute of Île-de-France, institute for energy transition, is a scientific and technical center dedicated to the research and development of solar technologies. On its site located in Paris-Saclay, it brings together its own staff, employees of its partners and those of external companies. The IPVF aims to ambition to become one of the main global centers for research, innovation and training in the field of energy transition.

The IPVF aims to primary objective of improving the performance and competitiveness of photovoltaic cells and developing disruptive technologies relying on four levers:

  • An ambitious research program;
  • The reception, on its Paris-Saclay site, of more than 200 researchers and their laboratories;
  • A cutting-edge technological platform (8 m²) open to players in the photovoltaic sector, and bringing together more than 000 cutting-edge equipment located in clean rooms.
  • A training program mainly based on a master\'s degree, supervision of doctoral students, and continuing education.

In the program industrialization of the IPVF and to strengthen our teams, we are offering a mission dedicated to the implementation and production of perovskite modules using the prototyping line

MAIN MISSIONS

As a Vacuum Process Specialist within the industrialization program, you play a central role in the development, optimization and stabilization of vacuum deposition processes (ALD and/or sputtering and/or evaporation) for the program\'s product.

Your missions are structured around three main areas:

1. Development and qualification of processes:

  • Define and manage experimental plans (DoE) in conjunction with the R&D team.
  • Develop, qualify and document vacuum processes (ALD, PVD, evaporation).
  • Ensure their transfer for production in conjunction with associated technicians.
  • Carry out productions and interpret characterization data.
  • Check the feasibility of switching to industrial production.
  • Conduct the analyses and studies necessary for the optimization of processes and equipment.
  • Define specification limits and ensure process reporting.

2. Control and qualification of equipment:

  • Participate in the FAT, SAT phases and the process start-up of new equipment.
  • Validate the robustness of the associated processes and guarantee the availability of deliverables.
  • Train technical teams and act as equipment manager.
  • Implement and monitor control plans (SPC), analyze capability (Cp/Cpk) and manage corrective actions in the event of deviation.
  • Propose and implement continuous improvement actions (quality, performance, ergonomics, etc.).
  • Participate in technological monitoring, drafting of patents and publications.
REQUIRED PROFILE
  • Experience required in ALD, PVD (sputtering, evaporation), or vacuum plasma processes for thin film deposition: approximately 5 years.
  • Knowledge of experimental designs (DoE), statistical methods, SPC.
  • Rigor, autonomy, analytical mind and ability to work in a team.
  • Understanding of spoken, written and read technical English.
  • Other assets: knowledge of characterization tools (ellipsometry, XPS, AFM, SEM, etc.). Sensitivity to the clean room environment or semiconductor production.
