Qualifications

Description du poste

Candidate must have a Technical Degree or 3 to 5 years of verifiable hands-on experience in an industrial maintenance environment and have practical skills and knowledge in the following essential functions:

Required Skills
  • Familiar with applicable OSHA standards for basic industrial work, including proper LOTO procedures.
  • Familiar with the function of basic electrical components - DC motor controls, VFD’s, PLC’s, relays, contactors, etc.
  • Demonstrates the ability to perform basic troubleshooting of electrical components.
  • Ability to read basic mechanical and electrical prints.
  • Demonstrates strong ability to logically reason through problems and identify the root cause.
  • Ability to pass a basic mechanical and electrical aptitude test.
  • Knowledgeable in the operation of basic shop equipment including drill presses, band saws, Arc/MIG welders, as well as hand and power tools.
  • Ability to work on a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Ability to learn new skills through on-the-job and 3 rd party training.
  • Strongly skilled in communicating technical problems and solutions to team members.
  • Basic computer literacy – Must be able to use a CMMS system to complete work orders.
Desired Skills
  • Ability to work with Rockwell PLC5 and Logix controllers to troubleshoot technical issues.
  • Ability to perform basic troubleshooting and repair of Fanuc and ABB robotic systems.
  • Ability to read ladder logic.
Primary Duties
  • Maintain high level of safety during all work activities.
  • Troubleshoot technical problems with automated industrial equipment such as conveyors, presses, robots, etc.
  • Repair and maintain automated industrial equipment.
  • Perform regular inspections and preventative maintenance on industrial equipment.
  • Maintain a high level of cleanliness in shop and work areas.
  • Document day-to-day activities through CMMS system.
  • Work with plant Engineers to implement performance improvements to equipment.
  • All other duties as assigned.
  • Supports NSG’s efforts in receiving and maintaining ISO14001 certification.
