The Country Head France will be responsible for covering high-profile clients and prospects while building and leading a sales team to effectively grow assets under management in the region. The role holder will set and implement a sales strategy to achieve revenue and profitability targets, in addition to performing key general management and control duties for Robeco France.
Position & Requirements
The roleholder’s primary responsibilities will include:
- Managing and growing a set of senior-level client relationships with clients and prospects.
- Developing the annual and long-term business strategy and plans in line with Robeco’s overall strategy. Providing strategic direction and leadership to drive revenue and profitability targets.
- Building, developing, and nurturing a high-performing sales team and being accountable for ongoing performance management to ensure ambitious growth targets are met.
- Working with clients, distribution, and investment teams to assess, evaluate, and drive new opportunities and strategic direction in the region. Leveraging industry knowledge to identify emerging sales trends.
- Representing Robeco globally with internal and external stakeholders.
- Partnering with Legal, Compliance, and HR to ensure all internal controls are in place for the management of the office, fulfilling requirements regarding advice, training, and risk assessment for all office activities and staff.
Professional experience / qualifications
- Wide and in-depth knowledge of the French asset management industry, with a proven track record of applying and expanding industry knowledge by staying abreast of trends, competition, and regulation.
- Proven asset management sales leadership with significant experience and success.
- Experience working for an international (preferably European) organization and an international mindset.
- Outstanding leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to act as the external face of the organization with clients, consultants, regulators, industry groups, media, and competitors.
- Reputation for a collaborative, team-oriented management style, with success managing initiatives within a global matrixed organization.
- A fundamental interest in investing and a thorough understanding of Robeco’s investment products. Experience with disciplined/quantitative investing across asset classes is preferred.
- An international perspective with the ability to adapt business practices to local cultural differences.
- Ability to build credibility at the most senior levels.
- Highest standards of integrity, sound judgment, maturity, perseverance, and resilience.
- Excellent English language skills; bilingual French and English are ideal.
