The role A Transfer Tour Director (TTD)’s role is to pick up the group and accompany them from the airport to their main Tour Director and vice versa. A TTD is needed when groups are arriving at different times,or at the same time but in different terminals, so the main Tour Director cannot pick‑up all their groups at the same time.The types of transfers you will lead will include terminal to terminal transfers, airport to city transfers by coach or public transport and hotel to airport transfers by coach for early departure transfers at the end of the tour. You may also be required to help for luggage transfers where the luggage is transported directly to the group hotel.Based out of the EF Paris Regional Office, you would meet North American school groups arriving into Paris CDG airport mainly (sometimes ORY) in Spring (March / April) and Summer (June / July). Freelance Status.

Your missions will include, but are not limited to:

  • Being part of a pool of TTDs covering transfers throughout the week and weekends
  • Available for shifts of between 4 and 8h
  • Meeting school groups at the airport, the hotel or in the city center
  • Being the face of EF and representing the company at all times
  • Transferring groups via coach or public transportation
  • Connecting with the group Tour Director before and during the transfer
  • Communicating with suppliers and EF Operations
  • Welcoming the group and providing practical information
  • Ensuring the safety of the group and their belongings
  • Purchasing tickets and handling payments if necessary
Requirements
  • Excellent written & spoken English and French
  • Based in Paris and its suburbs
  • Able to legally work in France
  • Availability in March-April and / or June-July
  • Excellent time management
  • Organizational skills & good attention to detail
  • Excellent communication & interpersonal skills
  • Flexible to adapt to ever‑changing situations
  • Remain calm under pressure
  • Comfortable with technology & using a smartphone
Good To Have
  • Availability from 4am onwards for departure transfers
  • Experience leading groups or as a group leader
  • Familiarity with CDG airport
  • Knowledge of North American culture
