As a member of the Villanova University Athletics staff, the Guest Services Staff Supervisor plays a vital role in maximizing the game day experience for Villanova Wildcat basketball fans. This role serves as both a supervisor of Guest Services Event Staff and an active team member, assisting fans and ensuring smooth event operations. The Guest Services Staff Supervisor supports fans in premium clubs, provides game day information, and fosters a welcoming environment. This is a seasonal part-time role that provides support during basketball, football, and select other events.
All duties must be completed in compliance with University and NCAA rules and regulations.
Responsibilities
- Exceed customer service expectations of all Wildcat community members.
- Understand and practice policies and procedures set by Villanova University Athletics.
- Attend customer service team member training and maintain comprehensive knowledge of game day information, rules, and regulations.
- Go above and beyond to enhance game day experience.
Minimum Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience
- 18 years of age or older
- Must be available nights, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to stand, walk, and climb stairs throughout the duration of the event
- Occasionally lift 10 pounds, unaided
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work well with others and provide leadership to a team
- Problem-solving skills with the ability to think quickly and remain calm in high-pressure situations
- Positive attitude toward taking on additional job responsibilities
- Good judgment and decision-making skills
- Authorization to work in the United States
Preferred Qualifications
- Physical Requirements and/or Unusual Work Hours:
- Ability to stand, walk, and climb stairs throughout the duration of the event
- Occasionally lift 10 pounds, unaided
