A leading global reinsurer in Paris seeks a skilled financial solutions expert to deliver structured solutions that enhance clients' capital and earnings. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years in financial services, with strong skills in pricing, risk management, and client engagement. This role encompasses collaboration with diverse teams to design innovative financial products and ensure compliance with evolving regulations. A Master's degree in finance is required, along with excellent presentation and leadership skills.
The Financial Solutions team is responsible for the development of structured solutions that optimize the capital and/or earnings profile of our key clients under different regulatory and accounting regimes worldwide.
Key duties and responsibilities
Participate to the delivery of solutions to clients that meet our Group’s pricing standards, underwriting limits, and using the approved methodologies and pricing tools
Responsible for ensuring Pricing, Legal and Risk Management timely review and signoff on new products/strategies (shared with business leaders of Financial solutions)
Participate to the research and development on new financial solutions and leading their implementation and internal approval process with several stakeholders ensuring they respect the Group’s risk appetite, required return, and are efficient in terms of capital consumption.
Perform and review data analysis for transactions
Support some of the internal marketing roadshows within key regions of EMEA
Follow change in regulation (Solvency 2, IFRS 17)
Support business development efforts through demonstration of SCOR’s expertise in financial solutions in preparation of market seminars and client presentations as needed
Perform credit risk and solvency financial analyses of clients
Required experience & competencies
Experience:
3-5 years of relevant financial services industry experience in life insurance, life reinsurance, or life consulting or auditing environment
Experience in managing pricing and risk management of new business from technical, business process and product management perspectives preferred
Experience in internal or external auditing or external reviewer roles is a plus
Experience with regulators is a strong plus
Awareness of detailed implications of emerging insurance capital and accounting standards for the life insurance industry preferred
Exposure to structured reinsurance concepts and economic value models highly preferred
Personal Competences:
Effective presenter with senior management audiences and with technical specialists
Able to lead virtual teams based in multiple locations
Fast learner, highly numerate
Comfortable with dynamic and fast paced work environment
Required Education
Masters degree or equivalent in financial discipline
Accountant, Actuary and/or Relevant insurance structuring expertise
