Job Description

Join our dynamic team at TOMRA Food as a Field Service Engineer, where you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless operation of our cutting-edge food sorting systems. We're seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to take on the challenge of providing top-notch customer service, encompassing commissioning, operation, testing, integration, optimisation, maintenance, training, and repair activities primarily in France.

Reporting directly to our French Team Leader, you'll be an integral part of our field service team. Based ideally in the North of France between Paris and Lille, you'll be responsible for promptly responding to equipment and customer issues both on-site and remotely. Your expertise will be crucial in delivering detailed field reports following each installation or technical intervention, while also conducting training sessions for our customers' maintenance and service staff.

Role And Responsibilities

  • Efficiently deliver field service work to meet cost and time objectives.
  • Ensure optimal performance of TOMRA Food sorting machines to exceed customer expectations.
  • Diagnose and resolve equipment issues, conducting necessary repairs.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to enhance customer support processes.
  • Conduct installations and adjustments to TOMRA Food equipment as required.
  • Provide comprehensive training to customers on the operations and maintenance of our systems.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed field reports to guide administrative follow-up procedures.


Qualifications

About You:

  • Technical training to BAC+2 level in Electronics, Electrotechnical, Automation, Industrial Maintenance, or related field.
  • Fluent in French and able to understand spoken and written English (min. B2) is mandatory for this role. Other languages are a plus.
  • Proven experience in on-site preventive and corrective maintenance, supporting industrial customers.
  • Willingness to travel up to 80% of the time, primarily within France, with occasional international travel or flexible working hours.
  • Good understanding of IT, networking, and PC configuration.
  • A valid driver's license.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with customers, colleagues, and management.
