Overview

Expeditor & Quality Inspector: Based in Nanterre, for one of our clients in the energy sector.

Expeditor & Quality Inspector: What will your missions and responsibilities be?

Mission

Ensure supplier follow-up after purchase order issuance in order to guarantee delivery schedule compliance and equipment quality conformity, in close interface with project teams.

Main Responsibilities
  • Monitor and follow up with suppliers on order progress (schedule, manufacturing, testing, delivery).
  • Define and apply expediting and inspection levels according to project criticality.
  • Organize and participate in pre-inspection meetings, inspection visits, and workshop handovers.
  • Review and validate supplier ITPs / Fabrication Quality Plans.
  • Manage the review and approval of supplier documentation (quality, design).
  • Identify, anticipate, and escalate schedule and quality risks impacting Purchase Orders.
  • Ensure reliable and regular reporting (using tools such as Intergraph).
  • Act as the single point of contact for the Purchase Orders under their responsibility and coordinate project interfaces.
Environment
  • EPC / EPCm projects - energy / industrial sector
  • Interaction with international suppliers - English required
What profile and skills are required for the Expeditor & Quality Inspector position?
  • Relevant Bachelor\'s degree (Mechanical/Electrical/Instrumentation/Engineering, etc.) as a minimum, or a degree from Business/Management schools
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in inspection, quality, engineering, manufacturing, supplier development, supplier quality, and/or project management
  • Demonstrated leadership and project management skills in their field of expertise (PVHE, packages, piping/valves, E&I, Long Lead Items - LLI, etc.)
  • Experience with Material Management Systems (e.g. Smart Material - Intergraph)
  • Professional level of spoken and written English
  • Strong collaboration skills and ability to work independently
  • Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities
  • Problem-solving skills related to the functional area and understanding of the impact on the overall business
  • Good presentation and communication skills at all organizational levels
