A leading French educational institution is seeking a Research and Development Engineer for a fixed-term contract. This role involves contributing to research on Open RAN, developing technical solutions, and supervising students. You will contribute to ongoing research on a promising industrial approach of deaggregated hardware as Open RAN, focusing on the Telco Data Space component and artificial intelligence techniques applied to networks using approaches such as AI‑RAN, an open initiative that should significantly simplify the automation of 4G/5G/6G network functions. As part of this research, various network architectures will be studied, such as federated and distributed AI approaches, and secure telco data access solutions will be analyzed and implemented. 3GPP 5G releases 16 to 20 provide important input for understanding the necessary functionalities that will be implemented and tested in the context of this project.
