Description

As a newly established department, the Market Innovation & Development Department is dedicated to capturing Stainless Steel new business opportunities driven by megatrends and technological evolutions. Leveraging market intelligence, we identify emerging trends, competing materials, and strategic opportunities. The department defines, manages, and implements robust business cases for innovative ideas while fostering partnerships, ecosystems, and external relations.

As Business Intelligence Lead / Megatrends & Sustainability, Mobility & Transport, you will provide high-quality analytical insights that directly support the Head of Market Strategy in driving the Marketing roadmap for the 2030 Aperam Innovation Plan.

Responsibilities

As Development Marketing Lead, you will provide high-quality analyses that support the execution of the Marketing roadmap for the 2030 Aperam Innovation Plan. Your role involves conducting market intelligence studies, monitoring industry trends, megatrends, competitors, and value chain developments to identify new business opportunities and support sustainable growth initiatives. Responsibilities include:

  • Market Intelligence & Trend Analysis: Conduct market analysis to identify current and future applications where Aperam's products, solutions, and manufacturing capabilities can add value. Assess capabilities of competitors to achieve sustainable, profitable growth.
  • Perform targeted analysis for Market Developers to identify stainless steel opportunities in segments like Mobility & Transportation, Consumer Goods, and Construction.
  • Analyze technological advancements, R&D, and competitors' strategies to provide insights to Market Developers.
  • Prepare input for business cases of identified projects, feeding into the innovation plan, and challenge business developers based on market potential and perspectives. Act as co-accountable for validated business cases.
  • Conduct proactive market screening to map high-potential segments and customer pain points.
  • Provide data-driven insights for value chain and pricing analysis to support competitive strategies.
  • Monitor competitors' strategies and market activities, proposing strategic adaptations to keep Aperam industry-leading.
  • Assist in negotiations with market developers through breakeven calculations and additional analyses.
  • Contribute to the Sustainable Steel Marketing Plan by providing critical data and analyses about market structures and highlighting benefits of Aperam's sustainable solutions.

By delivering actionable insights, the Business Intelligence Lead will play a key role in strengthening Aperam's strategic market initiatives and executing the 2030 Innovation Plan.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in market strategy, business development, or marketing within a B2B industry.
  • Advanced degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field; additional qualifications in Market Research and Data Analysis are assets.
  • Experience in developing market reports, trend analysis, and actionable insights.
  • Strong business acumen in the industry.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and presentation skills; data-driven mindset.
  • Dynamic, interpersonal skills, and ability to work transversally.
  • Fluent in English and proficient with digital technologies.
