About the Role

Seeking a hands‑on Data Engineer to drive pipeline reliability and metrics standardization. This role focuses on managing the data pipeline, enhancing monitoring, and building reusable data models to ensure trusted, consistent analytics across teams.

Join our innovative Data team as a Data Engineer, where you will collaborate closely with a Data Analyst and the Head of Data. This role offers the opportunity to work on diverse projects and make a significant impact on our products.

Core Responsibilities
  • Pipeline Management: Expert at auditing, rationalizing, and safely deprecating redundant ad‑hoc pipelines while resolving dbt test failures and Dagster alert issues.
  • Data Quality & Testing: Skilled in expanding comprehensive test suites (schema, logic, freshness) to guarantee downstream reliability and catch issues proactively.
  • Monitoring & Automation: Proficient in building alerting systems for automated daily health reports, reducing manual oversight.
  • Metrics Centralization: Experienced in consolidating business metrics (e.g., revenue, retention) into shared, documented dbt models for consistency across dashboards and tools.
  • Scalable Standardization: Adept at designing versioned, stakeholder‑aligned data models that support product revamps and enable cross‑team reuse without breaking changes.
  • ML & Advanced Models: Capable of managing ML models and advanced statistical models as prioritized in future initiatives.
Required Experience
  • Advanced knowledge of dbt, orchestration (Dagster/Airflow), Python, and data warehousing (BigQuery and Redshift).
  • Proven track record of 3-5 years in data quality frameworks and metrics governance projects.
  • Strong collaboration with team members to translate needs into robust solutions while working together.
  • Nice to have: experience working in a gaming company.
