Data Centre Project Manager

Location: Les Ulis, France (On Site)

Kelly FSP is partnering with a leading technology organisation to hire a hands on Data Centre Project Manager who will directly oversee the physical build out, installation, and commissioning of new data centre facilities.

This role is not just supervisory. You will be actively onsite, coordinating contractors, guiding Data Centre Technicians (DCTs), and ensuring every stage of construction, installation, and fit out is delivered flawlessly. You will manage everything from rack deployments and cabling installation to LV and tenant fit out integration, ensuring projects meet the highest standards of safety, performance, and operational readiness.

Key Responsibilities

Hands On Delivery and Installation Oversight

• Oversee day to day onsite activities across active data centre construction and installation projects in Les Ulis.
• Direct and support Data Centre Technicians (DCTs) during equipment installation, cabling works, rack deployment, and room fit out.
• Ensure all build, installation, and commissioning activities adhere to design, safety, and compliance standards.

Project Management and Execution

• Lead data centre build projects end to end, from planning and design reviews through construction, installation, testing, and go live.
• Develop detailed delivery plans, schedules, and construction milestones.
• Monitor onsite progress, resolve installation issues, and keep all teams aligned to timelines and quality expectations.

Coordination and Stakeholder Management

• Work closely with Design, Engineering, Construction, and Operations teams to align all project deliverables.
• Manage Colo and LV partners, ensuring integration of tenant fit out, power systems, and low voltage solutions.
• Communicate updates, risks, and solutions clearly to internal and external stakeholders.

Vendor and Contractor Control

• Select, negotiate, and manage third party contractors and installation partners.
• Enforce daily onsite accountability, performance standards, and adherence to specifications.

Budget, Quality, and Risk Management

• Control project budgets, ensuring financial accuracy and efficient resource allocation.
• Identify and mitigate project risks early to maintain schedule and cost control.
• Maintain rigorous QA and QC throughout construction, installation, and commissioning phases.

Documentation and Handover

• Ensure partners receive all design documentation, method statements, and as built packages.
• Oversee ISP circuit coordination and ensure smooth handover to Operations teams.

Who You Are

• A hands on project manager who enjoys being onsite and directly involved in day to day installation activities.
• Experienced in managing data centre builds, including physical construction, electrical and mechanical installation, cabling, and commissioning.
• Skilled at leading and coordinating DCTs and field teams in fast paced technical environments.
• Strong technical understanding of modern data centre architecture, LV systems, cabling standards, rack layouts, and infrastructure deployment.
• Proven ability to manage complex projects with strict timelines, budgets, and quality benchmarks.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence contractors, suppliers, and senior stakeholders.
• Proactive, organised, and capable of solving onsite problems before they elevate.
