Amazon is seeking an organized self-starter to join the Transportation Risk and Compliance (TRC) team. This role can be based in Munich, Berlin, Iasi, Paris, Gdansk, or London based on key language requirements.

Overview

Amazon Transportation Services has built a world-class Middle Mile operation that relies on an exceptional pool of carriers. TRC is looking for a Compliance and Risk Analyst to audit Amazon Middle-Mile carrier partners against contractual and legal requirements and to foster a compliance culture both internally and externally.

The ideal candidate has strong audit experience (preferably in transport) and can apply their expertise to conduct carrier audits across different business models, identify compliance, safety, regulatory and reputational risks, propose risk-mitigation solutions, and deliver detailed audit findings to carriers and business teams. The successful candidate will have exceptional attention to detail, a data-driven mindset, strong stakeholder management skills, and the ability to work autonomously with good team spirit.

Key job responsibilities
  • Vet Middle-Mile carrier candidates against Amazon policies prior to onboarding as Amazon partners
  • Audit Amazon Middle-Mile carrier partners based on the TRC audit workbook to ensure compliance with contractual, legal, and regulatory requirements
  • Provide thorough audit findings to senior management and business partners, including highlights, lowlights, and recommendations
  • Provide precise audit reports to carrier partners with clear finding details and actionable corrective actions where required
  • Conduct short-notice compliance audits as required with flexibility and high quality standards
  • Investigate suspicious carrier activity and behavior that could pose a risk to Amazon, its customers, or others
  • Meet individual and team goals with high standards and diligence
  • Achieve audit productivity and quality standards
  • Lead or participate in special projects and assignments as necessary
A day in the life

No day will be the same; you will work with thousands of carriers in the network, assess their level of compliance, and trend key problem areas in your country to report back to the business for long-term solutions.

About the team

The team is based across Europe. We work individually in our countries but also merge regularly to discuss key topics and trends within our regions.

Qualifications
  • Audit experience, preferably in transport
  • Fluency in French and Dutch
  • Exceptional attention to detail with a problem-solving mindset
  • Project management and continuous process improvement experience
  • Ability to work with international teams with high levels of team spirit and integrity
  • Proven ability to analyze and interpret information
  • Excellent knowledge of Office tools (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)
  • Demonstrated research and investigation skills
  • Experience handling confidential data
  • Willingness to travel up to 10% of the time
  • Transportation experience (e.g., Transport Manager, Fleet Manager) and working knowledge of local transport and contractual laws and regulations
  • Compliance and risk management experience
  • Professional auditing qualification
  • Data software experience (e.g., Tableau, QuickBase)
  • Fluent in at least one of the following languages: French, German, Italian, Lithuanian, Spanish
