Overview

Travelbound - Laundry Assistant 2026. Join us for the 2026 season at Travelbound’s Chateau Du Molay in Northern France. Travelbound specialises in offering residential school trips to groups from around the world.

This role is based at an 18th Century chateau in Normandy, France. The location offers opportunities to explore Normandy in your time off and a short train ride to central Paris. The season provides a chance to develop hospitality skills and work with an international team of about 20 staff from across Europe and beyond, with opportunities to practice both French and English.

What will I be doing?

As a Laundry Assistant, you will play a key role in ensuring our school guests and party leaders have a comfortable stay. The primary focus is to ensure the laundry for guests is clean and ready for the Housekeepers to place in the accommodation. This includes washing, drying, and pressing bedding and towels.

There may be days when laundry needs are lighter; on these days you may help the team in other departments, for example assisting General Assistants with cleaning or supporting the Catering Team with pot washing duties.

This is a full-time position with usual working hours from 9am to 5pm.

What skills and experience do I need?

• Previous experience of laundry duties in a travel setting is preferred but not essential (full training provided).
• Previous experience in seasonal, hospitality roles is a bonus.
• A good attitude with willingness to learn and the ability to assist with other duties where needed.
• A vibrant personality and confidence in front of large groups.
• Outstanding customer service skills.
• Conversational English is essential.
• French speaking is a bonus.
