Position Summary

The Banquet Bartender is responsible for the setup operation and breakdown of event bars at The Inn at Villanova University. Job duties include preparing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. Ability to interact with guests, co-workers, and supervisors in a positive and helpful manner, as well as being able to work independently for extended periods of time.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Set up and stock bar area along with preparing any alcoholic or nonalcoholic beverages and condiments/supplies.
• Greet guests, take customer’s orders and serve in a friendly, courteous manner. Maintain professionalism while assessing guest’s needs and preferences and offer recommendations if needed.
• Maintain a clean and neat work and service area and restock bar inventory and supplies as needed.

Minimum Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Basic knowledge of beverages and food items, and cleaning practices, RAMP certification required.
• 1 year food service experience.
• Oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as in a group under general supervision.
• Excellent guest service skills.
• Excellent knowledge of mixing, garnishing and serving drinks.
• Ability to keep the bar organized, stocked, and clean.

Preferred Qualifications

• Standing for extended periods of time.
• Ability to lift a minimum of 30 pounds
