Accountant

Following a significant new portfolio and software migration, DLL France is seeking an experienced accountant. Responsibilities may extend to include supplier accounting and general accounting tasks.

This role offers an opportunity to engage with the core accounting operations of a growing commercial finance and leasing business, utilizing new tools to automate and streamline processes, in preparation for a portfolio management system change in 2-3 years.

Working with the back office in France and a subcontractor in India, you will report to the Accounting Manager, with daily support from the Project Manager.

Day-to-day responsibilities:
  • Reconcile payments and receipts for the acquisition portfolio.
  • Monitor daily suspense items across two portfolio systems and follow up with operations and local teams.
  • Lead efforts to clear aged customer suspense account items.
  • Oversee and evaluate the performance of our service provider in India, proposing improvements.
  • Suggest enhancements for information transmission to our service provider.
  • Support back-office actions requested of our service provider.
  • Facilitate meetings to reduce suspense account items, document processes to prevent their recurrence, and monitor progress.
  • Manage daily banking operations, including account supervision and cheque processing.

Essential skills and qualifications:
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar role.
  • BTS in Accounting and Management or equivalent.
  • Proficiency in English (written and spoken).
  • Native French speaker or C1/C2 level.
  • Experience with Oracle; knowledge of credit institutions is a plus.
  • Strong Excel skills.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and team-oriented; curious mindset.
  • This position is based in Paris, La Défense.
