The Role

Square is looking for an ambitious, optimistic and results-driven Account Executive to join our Sales team in France.

Reporting to the Sales Director you will be responsible for developing and executing a commercial strategy to strengthen Square's presence in the French market. You will work closely with a Business Development Representative (BDR) and our Marketing team to identify and engage high-potential businesses helping them accelerate their growth with Square.

With a strong entrepreneurial mindset and a problem-solving attitude you are able to translate customer needs into concrete opportunities. You have a proven track record of negotiating and closing deals with SMB and mid-market clients and you excel at managing complex sales cycles.

As a brand ambassador for Square you will play a key role in driving our growth and building lasting relationships with our clients across France.

You Will
  • Represent Square to merchants across a wide range of industries (retail, hospitality, services, etc.) highlighting the simplicity and power of our solutions.
  • Manage the entire sales cycle from prospecting to closing working closely with internal teams to ensure a smooth and successful customer journey.
  • Achieve and exceed your monthly sales targets through a proactive outbound sales approach.
  • Act as a consultative partner understanding each merchant's challenges, needs and goals to deliver a tailored solution.
  • Collaborate with the Product and Marketing teams to share field insights and contribute to the ongoing evolution of our offerings.
  • Leverage your commercial expertise to design and execute an innovative and effective go-to-market strategy.
  • Participate in occasional international travel for team events or cross-functional projects.
  • Visit merchants in person to strengthen relationships and support their growth.
  • Grow your career through ongoing training, mentorship and real opportunities for professional development.
You Have
  • 2-3 years of sales experience ideally in a B2B or technology environment.
  • Fluency in French and an excellent command of English both written and spoken.
  • A proven track record in exceeding sales targets.
  • Solid experience in business development including prospecting, outbound calls and closing new clients.
  • A strong sense of team spirit and a desire to contribute to collective success.
  • Proficiency with CRM tools especially Salesforce and Salesloft to efficiently manage your pipeline and opportunities.
