A leading company in motorsport seeks an experienced Catia V5 Mechanical Design Engineer for a 3-month assignment in Magny-Cours. You will work on systems definition, bodywork studies, and collaborate with suppliers to optimize designs. The ideal candidate will be a graduate mechanical engineer with at least three years experience in motorsport design, proficient in CATIA V5 and FEM software.

Qualifications

• 3 years minimum experience in mechanical engineering focused on motorsport.
• Proficient in CATIA V5 part design and assembly.
• Fluent in French and English.

Responsabilités

• Define, design, and create production drawings of mechanical parts.
• Collaborate with partners and manufacturing teams to optimize designs.
• Conduct feasibility studies and define new sub-systems.

We have new opportunity for a 3-month assignement for an experienced Catia V5 Mechanical Design engineer to complete our team of engineers for our new Regional Formula 3.

Key responsibilities / Duties

The designs will include systems definition and package, bodywork studies and production drawings, feasibility studies and concept of new sub-systems (cooling, steering, chassis design, bodywork, engine systems, suspension) :

definition, design and production drawings of mechanical and composite parts in team collaboration, multi-functional activities.

Dimensioning of parts compliant to technical regulation and cost target

Collaboration and co-design with partner suppliers.

Work closely with manufacturing team to develop and optimize parts design.

Candidate Profile

Graduate mechanical engineer

3 years minimum experience in mechanical engineering : Motorsport design office only

3 years minimum CATIA V5 experience (3D and 2D proficiency) : part design, assembly design and surface, stress analysis

experience in FEM software (MSC SimDesigner) or CATIA integrated module.

CFD software and concepts experience.

good knowledge of small batch machining, fabrication and composite production.

proficient knowledge of French and English language.

European passport or authorised to work in France

self-motivated, capable of working from a design brief with a minimum of supervision for component design and calculation. You will be integratedinto ourDesign Office (team of 4 engineers).
