We are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer, Platform to join our newly formed Platform team. This key role will help us scale our infrastructure, optimize the performance of key product flows, and build end‑to‑end systems.

As Speechify expands, our AI team seeks an engineer who can ensure our infrastructure scales efficiently, construct resilient end‑to‑end systems, and support data collection for model training operations. We are building high‑quality datasets at petabyte scale and low cost through tight integration of infrastructure, engineering, and research.

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services that support high‑volume data pipelines.
• Optimize performance of key product flows and ensure system reliability.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ship end‑to‑end solutions for AI and speech products.
• Build and manage the infrastructure required for large‑scale dataset creation and model training.

• Proven experience as a backend engineer with a strong focus on scalability and reliability.
• Deep knowledge of modern cloud platforms, distributed systems, and best practices for high‑availability architecture.
• Experience with data engineering or building large‑scale data pipelines is a plus.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a fast‑moving team environment.
