JOB DESCRIPTION

Calucem is a Specialty Cement producer and has been in Calcium Aluminate Cement (CAC) for around 100 years.

After nearly a century as leaders in calcium aluminate cement solutions, at Calucem, we take a step forward and renew our visual identity by aligning ourselves with the new identity of Molins, the company we belong to.

Technical assistant is responsible of providing required technical support to global sales teams and customers to ensure sales development according to company ambitions. He oversees the development of the know-how in his defined field of expertise. He is fully responsible of projects deliverables (R&D, Innovation, products development) for which he has got the management. He is fully available for Global technical support with frequent international missions, in and out of UE (at least once a month).

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Technical and Expertise support for customers in all the sales regions of Calucem/Molins; support according to attributed scope of responsibilities for field applications (Building Chemistry, Refractories, Rapid hardening binders,…).
  • Customers technical follow up, visits with the aim of technical support for sales, sampling, advice on the cement choices.
  • Understanding customer requirements and their implementation in research projects and customer trials.
  • Project management of research and development projects together with customers and/or external partners.
  • Collaboration in the preparation of marketing and technical support documents.
  • Identification of short- and long-term trends for products, product formulations and branch-specific developments.
  • Responsible for new product developments and customer expectations, long-term strategic trends with the implementation of lab test series in coordination with the Application Laboratory Manager.
  • Ability to work in a team and support of the R&D laboratory by advising and evaluating certain laboratory test methods with appropriate expertise.
  • Preparation of the results in project reports, publications and presentations at congresses and international meetings.
  • Ability to work in a team and support of R&D teams.
  • National and international travel.
  • The worker is obliged to attend the courses and trainings referred by the employer.
  • In the daily work it adheres to all procedures, quality plans, operating instructions of the IMS system, with special attention to the protection of the environment, hazardous waste and its disposal, and fully applies all rules of law and act with regard to occupational safety.
  • According to the needs of the work organization, as well as at the behest of its direct superior, it may perform other tasks according to the priority or order of its direct superior, in compliance with its professional competence and mental and physical abilities.
