A leading aerospace firm in Comunidad de Madrid is looking for a Senior Space Systems Architect to lead the development of a satellite constellation program. This role involves responsibilities such as overseeing RFP preparations, conducting design reviews, and producing activity reports. The ideal candidate must possess a master’s degree in a relevant engineering field and have at least 10 years of experience in platform engineering. The position requires frequent travel to Toulouse and expertise in programming languages like Python and Matlab.

Formación

• Essential availability for frequent travel to Toulouse.
• 10 years of experience in platform engineering, procurement, equipment manufacturing, or in-orbit operations.
• Experience in managing large EU and ESA projects.

Overview

Senior Space Systems Architect

Spearhead the development of a cutting-edge satellite constellation program, focusing on Satellite Platform Engineering. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, manufacture, and test satellite platforms.

Responsibilities

• Lead the preparation of the Satellite Request for Proposal (RFP) and associated technical evaluation
• Participate in platform unit design, manufacturing, and testing review meetings
• Develop weekly reports of activities

Requirements

Masters degree in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics or similar required.

Essential availability for frequent travel to Toulouse.

10-year experience in platform engineering, procurement, equipment manufacturing, or in-orbit operations in GEO and / or LEO required.

Experience in managing large EU and ESA projects required.

Programming languages skills (Python, Matlab) required.

Knowledge in geostationary and LEO satellite system architectures and functional operations, covering several aspects :

• Demonstrated knowledge in platform equipment design, manufacturing, assembly, integration, and testing at unit, subsystem, and satellite levels
• Skills in satellite system related activities (system budgets, radiation, EMC&ESD)
• Expertise in satellite LEOP operations
