  • Budget Ownership – manage the site’s operational budget, analyze variances, and deliver clear, data‑driven recovery actions.
  • Performance & Efficiency – Achieve KPIs, SLAs, and cost targets. Identify performance gaps and implement focused improvement actions.
  • Safety & Compliance – Ensure a best‑in‑class safety culture and maintain strong food safety (BRC), legal, and regulatory compliance. Lead audits and risk mitigation.
  • People Leadership – Build, lead, and develop a multidisciplinary team (Operations, Stock Control, Customer Service, IT, Maintenance) with strong recruitment, coaching, succession, and performance management.
  • Stakeholder & Client Engagement – Maintain effective relationships with customers, partners, authorities, and staffing agencies.
  • Continuous Improvement – Deploy Lean methodologies to enhance service, cost, quality, and safety outcomes.
  • Cross‑Functional Collaboration – Partner closely with Engineering, IT, HR, Finance, QSHE, Transport, and Customer teams to enable seamless operations.
  • Change & Project Delivery – Support and lead operational transformation, system implementations, and onboarding of new processes and customers.
  • Performance Reporting – Provide transparent operational updates, risk assessments, and improvement plans to senior leadership.
  • Technology & Data Excellence – Leverage WMS, labor planning tools, and performance dashboards (e.g., Power BI) to drive data‑led decisions and automation performance.
Experience and qualifications:
  • Automation‑savvy operations leader – with experience in high‑automation or AS/RS warehouse environments and strong understanding of WMS/WCS and data tools (e.g., Power BI).
  • Greenfield & scale‑up experience – proven ability to lead through construction, commissioning, ramp‑up, and stabilization in a new‑site environment.
  • P&L and performance ownership – comfortable managing operational budgets, productivity levers, and financial KPIs to ensure efficient, profitable site performance.
  • People builder & culture shaper – skilled at hiring, developing, and leading multidisciplinary teams, fostering accountability, safety, and continuous improvement.
  • Hands‑on & analytical – able to operate strategically while staying close to operations, using data to drive decision‑making and problem‑solving.
  • Resilient, adaptable, and growth‑driven – thrives in a fast‑growth, technology‑driven environment with evolving priorities.
