Senior Software Engineer - Finance Domain

We're looking for a Senior level Engineer to join our Finance Domain. We want someone who will add positively to the team's culture, being fully remote and multi-cultural.
Finance is one of the domains with the highest growth forecast at Factorial. Its mission is to serve as the backbone of financial operations for companies, encompassing expense management, invoice processing, analytics, payments, card management, and accounting. By optimizing financial workflows, enhancing operational efficiency, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, we enable companies to focus on making important and informed decisions and manage all aspects of their business in our all‑in‑one solution.
The Engineering team at large consists of +200 very talented Fullstack Developers. We look for smart people who are curious, proactive and have good soft/communication skills. We’re not looking for a long list of skills and technologies. Our stack is Ruby on Rails for the backend and React / React‑native for the clients.
At Factorial we don’t evaluate you by the years of experience you have; we evaluate your knowledge and skills.
We use a rubric framework that defines what is expected for each experience level and skill. It allows you to understand where you are and what you need to grow. We also share salaries during the first interview to ensure transparency.
Annual gross salary: 60,000€ (regardless of location). Base: 51,000€ + variable pay up to 9,000€ annually (paid quarterly) based on company goals.
You’ll start with a 2‑week onboarding period, where you will:
As a Senior engineer, you influence requirements definition with the PM and deliver polished solutions. You participate in the team’s decisions through RFCs written or read. You are a product engineer, taking ownership of big initiatives, establishing goals, planning a quarterly roadmap, focusing on the domain’s technical needs, engaging in customer calls, reviewing code daily, mentoring juniors, and learning from the whole team.
