The Role

The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Software Engineer to join our technology team in Málaga. In this role, you will take a leading part in our product development—designing and building new features, addressing technical debt, and providing reliable operational support. This is a hands-on position with a strong focus on technical leadership, mentoring, and driving architectural decisions that shape the future of our platform.

Our Málaga hub, located right in the city center opposite the Cathedral, is the home of our platform development, quality assurance, and customer success teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and deployment of new features for our SaaS platform, ensuring scalability, performance, and maintainability.
• Drive architectural decisions and provide guidance on best practices for microservices, APIs, and data integrations.
• Mentor and support other engineers, fostering knowledge-sharing and raising the overall technical bar.
• Identify and proactively address technical debt to keep the codebase healthy and efficient.
• Provide reliable operational support, including diagnosing and resolving customer issues, while ensuring long-term fixes and improvements.
• Partner closely with stakeholders (Infra, Product, Ops, Customer Success) to balance business priorities with technical considerations and communicate trade-offs clearly.
• Contribute to the evolution of our platform by recommending improvements in architecture, security, observability, and cost efficiency.

Your Background

• Experience: 7+ years in software development, with proven delivery of complex, high-quality solutions in a product company (SaaS preferred).

Technical Skills

• Expert in .NET framework and C#, with hands-on experience designing and implementing complex systems.
• Experience with .NET 8 / 9 (Core), ASP.NET Core, Entity Framework Core.
• Strong knowledge of microservices architecture and developing REST APIs at scale.
• Proficiency with Docker and Kubernetes for orchestration, deployment, and scaling.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices, Infrastructure as Code, and observability tools.
• Deep experience with relational and NoSQL databases (MySQL, MongoDB, Redis) including schema design and optimization.
• Familiarity with RabbitMQ or other message brokers for event-driven systems.
• Hands-on experience with CI / CD pipelines (Jenkins, ArgoCD, GitHub Actions).
• Experience with cloud environments, preferably AWS.
• Nice to have: familiarity with AI-assisted coding tools (GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, Cursor).
