Position Summary

Join a driven and high performing Engineering team supporting the Hilton Architecture, Design and Construction and Development department facilitating the delivery of the Hilton growth plans, through the development and delivery of excellent hotels across the region.

As a highly skilled and driven Engineer, you will support the Senior Director of Engineering Support in developing, managing, and implementing Hilton ESG targets, sustainable engineering solutions, and engineering excellence across all MEP disciplines and fire life safety standards for all Brands in the EMEA estate. You will also provide advice and support to the Hilton project management team, external design teams, and owners on new developments, Property Improvement Plans, refurbishments, and adaptive reuse projects.

Key Responsibilities

1. Develop and implement engineering and fire life safety standards for all Hilton Brands in EMEA, coordinating with Brand Managers and other Hilton departments.
2. Maintain current and accessible copies of all Design and Construction Standards related to engineering and fire safety for all Brands.
3. Review building engineering services drawings to ensure compliance with brand standards across multiple projects and countries.
4. Inspire and lead the vision for ESG initiatives.
5. Coordinate with the Area Operations Engineering team to review hotel performance post-opening and use feedback for future projects.
6. Develop and keep updated the company’s engineering construction design guidelines, reflecting latest technologies and standards.
7. Review local codes and communicate differences and implications to the Senior Director.
8. Develop strategies for engineering processes, procedures, and reporting.
9. Support project design, construction visits, and testing and commissioning of systems in the region.

Additional Duties

This role involves extensive travel, primarily based in Spain or Portugal, managing multidisciplinary MEP projects, and driving innovative, sustainable engineering solutions.

Qualifications and Skills

Applicants should have a university degree in mechanical and electrical engineering or similar, with recognized professional qualifications, and significant experience in hotel development and construction, preferably within an international hotel group. Fluency in English is essential; Spanish or Portuguese is highly desirable, and French is advantageous. Other skills include project management, design engineering, familiarity with fire and safety standards, and proficiency in relevant software.
