We are looking for an EDM Data Engineer based in Málaga or ready to relocate to Spain. EPAM will provide relocation support to you and your family upon successful interview process.

Initially, the client is a leading UK-based hedge fund with aggressive growth aspirations. The successful candidate will work from our Málaga office 4 days/week and visit the client in London as required.

What You’ll Do

  • Act as a senior software database developer and data architect for company projects
  • Perform design, implementation, and unit testing of assigned functionality
  • Own assigned work, elaborate implementation details, and coordinate with BAs and QAs to deliver high-quality results
  • Participate in non-project activities within the Databases Competency Center, including knowledge sharing and best practices elaboration
  • Create and follow a personal education plan

What You Have

  • 3+ years of experience in database development, design, and modeling
  • Readiness to work from the office 4 days/week
  • Strong knowledge of SQL and modern relational database management systems
  • Experience with MS SQL Server, SSIS, SSRS, Markit EDM SQL, T-SQL, scripting languages
  • Strong TDD experience, understanding of CI/CD practices, code quality, and review tools
  • UML modeling and design skills
  • Strong computer science background
  • Ability to work independently and thoroughly test own work
  • Good quality deliverables
  • Excellent communication skills in English (B2 or higher)
  • Ability to understand documentation, create technical and project documentation
  • Participate in meetings and communicate with clients independently
  • Mentor colleagues in software engineering disciplines
