A global food company is seeking a highly motivated Sales Consultant in Spain. Formación

Sales Consultant (Self-Employed / Autónomo) – Spain

We are seeking a highly motivated Sales Consultant (Spanish - Chinese Speaking) to drive growth in the local market. As an outside sales representative, you will be responsible for initiating, managing, and growing business relationships with wholesalers, supermarkets, restaurants, and other partners in the food industry.

This role requires frequent travel, strong relationship-building skills, and a passion for promoting high-quality Asian food products.

This position is offered on a self-employed (autónomo) basis. Candidates must be able to operate as independent consultants.

Initiates and manages business relationships with current and potential wholesalers, supermarkets, and restaurants. The focus of the position is to maximize the sales penetration into existing and new accounts, recommend purchase decisions and visit restaurants and their suppliers on a regular basis. This position is an outside sales position.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Seek business opportunities by identifying prospects and evaluating the position in the industry.
  • Create new business relationships and manage existing accounts. Build relationships with restaurants, suppliers, wholesalers, supermarkets and other referral sources. Sell and convert restaurant customers to use Lee Kum Kee products.
  • Increase the number of Lee Kum Kee SKUs penetrating supermarkets, wholesalers, distributors. Work with customers to avoid out-of-stock situations in markets.
  • Introduce and increase the number of Lee Kum Kee SKUs in restaurants and provide support to source Lee Kum Kee products.
  • Prepare reports by collecting, analysing and summarizing information.
  • Maintain relationships with clients by providing support, information and guidance; research and recommend new opportunities.
  • Participate in regional sales exhibits, trade show, industry events, and follow up on leads.
  • Educate customers on how to promote our products through presentation, product samples, conversation and literature.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned.
Education & Experience
  • Be educated to university degree level or equivalent, Business or Marketing degree an advantage.
  • 2-3 years of sales or marketing experience within FMCG ; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • The individual must possess strong communication and analytical skills. Consumer goods experience is preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required.
Requirements & Skills
  • Eligibility to work as a self-employed (autónomo) consultant in Spain.
  • Able to speak fluent Chinese, either Cantonese or Mandarin. And proficiency in Spanish.
  • Must have a full European Driving licence as the job will involve driving.
  • Good Microsoft Office skills in order to present business plans and analysis sales data and trend independently.
  • Must be prepared to work flexible hours, even at weekends, with frequent travel.
  • Highly motivated and self-driven with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Must be independent and a good organiser with excellent self-discipline
  • Excellent negotiator when it comes to communicating with customers at all levels
  • Chinese food lover / keen cook and have good knowledge of the working kitchen in order to communicate effectively with customers
