Whitewater Group is headquartered in Bray, Co. Wicklow with a satellite office in Naas, Co. Kildare. We also operate from European bases in Spain, Sweden, Finland and UK, with plans for further offices to open in Italy, Denmark and Germany. The Group is experiencing significant growth due to its focus on off-site construction methods (OSM) of delivering turnkey projects, meaning on-site construction time is kept to a minimum.

Role

The Quality Specialist is responsible for creating, reviewing, managing, and delivering high-quality technical documentation related to the engineering, manufacturing, and commissioning of water treatment plants. This role ensures that all project documentation complies with internal quality standards, customer specifications, and applicable regulatory requirements. The specialist will collaborate closely with engineering, quality, production, and project teams to ensure complete and accurate documentation packages (e.g., MDRs – Manufacturing Data Records, Dossiers, Certificates, Test Reports).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, compile, review, and submit project quality documentation such as:
  • Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs)
  • Material Certificates (EN 10204, CoCs)
  • FAT protocols and reports
  • Welding and NDT documentation
  • Equipment calibration and conformity certificates
  • As-built documentation and final data books (MDRs / Dossiers)
  • Ensure traceability and proper archiving of all quality-related documents in accordance with project requirements and ISO standards.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and subcontractors to gather and verify technical certificates and documentation.
  • Format and standardize documentation according to client specifications and internal templates.
  • Support quality audits by providing required documentation and records.
  • Assist the Quality Manager and Project Quality Lead in document control processes and quality records management.
  • Ensure timely delivery of documentation packages for project milestones and final handover.
  • Maintain version control, manage revisions, and ensure up-to-date documentation is accessible to relevant teams.

Requirements:

Education:

  • Degree or Higher Technical Certificate in Engineering, Industrial Management, Documentation, or related fields.
  • Additional training in ISO 9001, document control, or quality management is a plus.

Experience:

  • 2+ years in a similar role within an industrial, engineering, or EPC (Engineering, Procurement, Construction) environment.
  • Experience in water treatment, energy, oil & gas, or environmental projects is highly valued.

Technical Knowledge:

  • Familiarity with quality systems and documentation requirements for industrial manufacturing.
  • Understanding of certificates (EN 10204), ITPs, welding/NDT reports, and FAT documentation.
  • Proficient with document control systems (DMS), Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PDF tools).
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001 and project documentation workflows.
