A leading automotive solutions provider in Barcelona is seeking a Purchasing Manager to manage program purchasing activities. This role requires expertise in supplier negotiations and sourcing strategy, along with at least 2-3 years of experience in an industrial environment. Responsibilities
  • Manage all program purchasing activities (excluding CAPEX) in compliance with Group purchasing policies
  • Ensure supplier performance on Quality, Cost, and Timing (QCT) for all free-sourced suppliers within the project scope
  • Collaborate with Lead Buyers on sourcing activities and selecting competitive suppliers
  • Prepare and negotiate RFQs, analyze market conditions, and recommend sourcing decisions to the Sourcing Board
  • Draft and implement supplier contracts in line with project objectives
  • Manage the purchasing budget (hours and costs), validate initial estimates, and monitor variances with convergence plans
  • Handle purchase orders and payment follow-up to ensure deadlines and commitments are met
  • Identify and anticipate project risks, propose action plans, and coordinate task forces for critical supplier issues
  • Support supplier quality and launch readiness, ensuring Tier 2 readiness and a smooth, non-event launch
  • Coordinate the extended purchasing team, prepare project reports (RPM), and track key milestones
  • Maintain the project database and ensure compliance with purchasing processes, including Optimap work packages
  • Contribute to continuous improvement, participate in workshops, and capitalize on lessons learned at project closure
Profil
  • Master’s degree (Bac+5) in Purchasing, Business, Engineering, or equivalent
  • 2/3 years of experience in purchasing within an industrial environment (including VIE or apprendiceship programs)
  • Strong expertise in supplier negotiations, sourcing strategy, and project purchasing management
  • Solid understanding of QCT principles and launch readiness processes
  • Technical skills: RFQ management, contract drafting, supplier performance monitoring; proficiency in ERP systems (Optimap is a plus)
  • Excellent analytical skills and ability to manage complex budgets with rigor and attention to detail
  • Fluent in French and English, with strong communication and influencing abilities
  • Highly organized, proactive, collaborative, and committed to continuous improvement in a dynamic environment
