The Production Technician is part of the Operations Department.
The role is responsible for operating equipment in the manufacturing of IVD products as well as tools used for the manufacturing process of the product. The job also involves reporting incidents and support solving them together with the engineering team.
The position involves operating pipettors, pneumatic and hydraulic presses, furnaces, ovens, electronic testers, high vacuum chambers, optical measurement systems, sealers, and dispensing systems. The work is performed in a clean room environment.
Functions
- Operate, maintain, and clean ISO Classified clean rooms and related equipment in accordance with SOPs.
- Perform routine monitoring / cleaning required in the Clean Rooms and / or other production environments.
- Planning, execution, and documentation of work orders and experiments
- Organization and maintenance of laboratory infrastructure.
- Prepares work to be accomplished by following assembly instructions and specifications.
- Conduct In-Process-Controls to ensure products meet specifications.
- Control and adjust basic machine settings within established or qualified ranges.
- Assembly and testing of medical products and related packaging.
- Ensure compliance with documented procedures. Accurate documentation and ownership of work completed.
- Support setup and routinely use multiple automated and manual assembly equipment.
Requirements
- High school diploma degree, or specific FP education in mechanics and / or electronics.
- Work experience in a similar sector (ideally previous experience within medical devices domain).
- Experience and consent with working in a cleanroom environment with extensive gowning requirements.
- Ability to read, understand and follow all company SOPs and guidelines provided in English language.
- Ideally experience with manufacturing in accordance with cGMP requirements.
- Fabrication knowledge including machining, sheet metal welding and assembly of machine elements.
- Experience within manufacturing / production environment and automation processes.
