Private Equity Fundraising – VP / Principal

Location : London, Madrid, Zurich, or Dubai (Hybrid)

Our client is a global private markets investment manager with a dedicated impact mandate and a multi-strategy platform encompassing private equity and private credit. With a multi-billion portfolio and a deep LP network spanning Europe, the Middle East, Asia and the Americas, the firm combines institutional discipline with an entrepreneurial culture and a high-conviction approach to capital deployment. The Private Equity Partnerships platform — covering secondaries, co-investments and fund-of-funds — is a core pillar of the firm’s growth strategy and a strategic interface with global LP ecosystems.

The firm is seeking to appoint a VP / Principal to lead fundraising, capital formation and market development for the Partnerships platform. This is a senior mandate with clear commercial impact, focused on expanding the firm’s global LP footprint, with Asia and the Middle East designated as priority markets for near‑term growth.

Key Responsibilities
Fundraising Leadership – Secondaries, Co-Investments, Fund-of-Funds
  • Originate, lead and execute capital-raising initiatives for the firm’s Partnerships strategies, including a flagship impact-aligned secondaries programme.
  • Represent the platform across the full spectrum of PE partnership solutions : LP secondaries, GP‑led transactions, continuation vehicles, co‑investments and primary fund commitments.
  • Build and maintain senior‑level dialogues with institutional investors, sovereign wealth funds, pension plans, endowments, foundations and family offices — with a particular emphasis on Asia and the Middle East as core expansion corridors.
  • Manage the full fundraising cycle, including positioning, diligence management, onboarding and long‑term account development.
Asset Class Expertise & Technical Representation
  • Act as the firm’s subject‑matter authority on secondaries, co‑investments and fund‑of‑funds, providing credible, detailed responses on underwriting frameworks, pricing dynamics, risk / return considerations and portfolio construction.
  • Translate insights from Investment Committees, GP negotiations, transaction reviews and portfolio analytics into compelling LP‑facing narratives.
  • Shape and deliver institutional‑grade materials articulating strategy differentiation, market opportunity and performance attribution.
International Market Development – Asia & Middle East Focus
  • Design and execute market‑development strategies across global LP hubs, with Asia and the Middle East as the highest‑priority growth vectors.
  • Build region‑specific go‑to‑market plans, calibrate messaging to investor typologies, and track competitive dynamics across sovereign institutions, public pensions, banks, insurers and multi‑family platforms.
  • Expand the firm’s institutional footprint through systematic coverage, pipeline development and sustained relationship‑building in both priority regions.
Cross‑Functional Collaboration
  • Serve as the senior conduit between the Partnerships investment team and the global fundraising / IR organisation, ensuring alignment on market messaging, product positioning, competitive benchmarking and investor reporting.
  • Coordinate with investment, impact, product, legal and marketing teams to refine materials, anticipate investor requirements and ensure consistency of external communications.
  • Channel investor insights to inform product innovation, strategic initiatives and broader platform development.
Thought Leadership & External Representation
  • Represent the firm at high‑profile conferences, regional summits and industry events, especially across Asia and the Middle East, positioning the platform as a sophisticated and credible participant in the global secondaries and co‑investment ecosystem.
  • Contribute to the production of white papers, market outlooks and thematic research pieces supporting the firm’s reputation as a leading Partnerships provider within private equity.
  • Enhance visibility in strategic regions through targeted participation in industry forums, roundtables and investor delegations.
Candidate Profile
Experience & Technical Expertise
  • A minimum of 9 years of private markets experience, ideally across secondaries, co‑investments, primary fund commitments, fundraising or investor relations.
  • Demonstrated fluency across LP secondaries, GP‑led processes, continuation fund structures, co‑investment evaluation and fund underwriting.
  • Deep understanding of the secondaries landscape, market cycles, pricing drivers, GP behaviour and impact‑aligned private equity strategies.
Leadership & Interpersonal Skills
  • Strong executive presence and a refined ability to engage with sophisticated institutional stakeholders across multiple geographies and cultures.
  • Commercial, proactive and comfortable operating in a high‑autonomy, high‑accountability environment.
  • Proven ability to work seamlessly with investment professionals, internal leadership and external partners across time zones.
Education
  • Advanced degree in finance, economics, business or a related discipline preferred; additional professional qualifications (e.g., CFA) viewed positively.
