Formación

Your mission

We are looking for a Platform (DevOps) Engineer to be part of our Platform Engineering (DevOps) team, who are responsible for overseeing the development and operation of the tools and processes needed to deploy, manage, and monitor our applications in both on-premise and cloud-based environments.

Responsibilities

  1. Enable DevOps principles, improve automation processes, and ensure the smooth and efficient operation of our deployment pipelines.
  2. Build, test, and deploy platform agnostic infrastructure and applications using CI / CD and Infrastructure-as-Code.
  3. Monitor and administer the business's virtual server infrastructure in a multi-location environment based on Linux OS running in OpenStack and GCP.
  4. Support engineering teams to help them become high performing, autonomous teams.
  5. Work closely with Software Development, Architecture, and Security teams to support product-related development.
  6. Assist with setup and maintenance of environments for both manual and automated testing.
  7. Participate in on-call rotation and respond to incidents and emergencies in a timely manner.
  8. Contribute to maintaining a knowledge base of platform-related processes and technologies.
  9. Invest in continuous self-development and apply learnings in day-to-day work.
  10. Assist in conducting gap analysis and identifying feasible alternative solutions.
  11. Participate in contingency planning and disaster recovery procedures.

What you'll bring

  1. A strong understanding of Continuous Integration and Deployment concepts and tools, including SCMs (Git), CI servers (Bamboo, Gitlab), build tools (Maven, Gradle), and code quality tools (SonarQube).
  2. Strong experience working with Kubernetes clusters and observability tools such as Fluentd, Kibana, Logstash, Prometheus, and Grafana.
  3. Familiarity with containerization (Docker) and virtualization (VMWare, Vagrant, VirtualBox) technologies.
  4. Knowledge of Public and Private clouds and virtualization platforms: OpenStack, Google Cloud Platform, and AWS.
  5. Experience with Infrastructure as code principles using technology such as Terraform and Ansible.
  6. Basic programming knowledge and advanced knowledge of scripting languages (Bash, Python, Perl, Ruby).
  7. Familiarity with software development concepts, current technologies, and frameworks.
  8. Linux administration skills and knowledge about network diagnostics and services.
  9. Ability to work outside of normal business hours when needed, including international travel to office locations within the UK and Europe.
  10. Ability to meet project deadlines and work well under pressure.
  11. Full English proficiency, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
