A leading global security organization is seeking a Next-Generation Firewall Engineer for a 12-month remote contract. The role involves designing and managing NGFW solutions, preferably with Palo Alto experience. Candidates should have hands-on experience with firewalls and be fluent in Spanish. You will work autonomously with minimal oversight in a dynamic environment.

Next-Generation Firewall Engineer – 12-Month Contract

Remote | Occasional Travel | Global Security Organisation

What you’ll be doing

• Designing, deploying, and managing Next-Generation Firewall (NGFW) solutions (Palo Alto experience strongly preferred).
• Creating and maintaining firewall policies, NAT rules, security profiles, and threat prevention configs.
• Troubleshooting complex network and security issues across global environments.
• Working closely with architecture and operations teams to improve security posture.
• Supporting or leading firewall migration projects from legacy firewalls to NGFW platforms.

What we’re looking for

• Proven hands‑on engineering experience with next‑generation firewalls.
• Strong experience with Palo Alto Networks NGFW (Pan‑OS, security policies, App‑ID, User‑ID).
• Experience with enterprise‑level firewall deployments, upgrades, and cutovers.
• Migration experience is a major advantage (from legacy firewalls to Palo Alto or similar).
• Must be fluent in Spanish (spoken and written).
• Someone who takes ownership — not someone waiting for instructions.

• Occasional travel when required (not frequent)
