Formación

• Proven experience in mechanical and welding inspection.
• Knowledge of ASME IX, AWS D1.1, ISO 9606, and ASME B31.3 standards.
• Experience in modular construction projects.

Overview

We are looking for a Mechanical & Welding Lead Inspector for a client located in Tarragona, to oversee inspection activities in an LNG modular construction project. Estimated duration: 18 months.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate all mechanical and welding inspection activities on site
• Supervise the erection of modular structures and field piping systems
• Ensure compliance with ASME IX, AWS D1.1, ISO 9606, and ASME B31.3 standards
• Review Inspection Test Plans, mechanical completion certificates, and piping test packs
• Monitor weld fit-up, alignment, NDT, and hydrostatic/pneumatic testing
• Interface with client, third-party inspectors, and other discipline leads (E&I, painting, insulation, mechanical completion)
• Maintain accurate documentation and support system turnover for commissioning
• Promote safety and quality culture; mentor and support junior inspectors
